About The Studio
Knob and Tube is a full service recording and mixing studio dedicated to providing the tools, infrastructure, and knowledge required to help artists and bands realize their musical visions. Featuring isolated and acoustically treated recording and mixing spaces and a variety of microphones and equipment, the studio can accommodate a diverse range of projects and genres.
John Raptis - Producer/Engineer
As a musician myself, my interest in audio engineering and producing records started over 10 years ago when I had to find a way to record my first band's demo recordings. I was fascinated by the sounds that my favorite bands achieved, and I dove down the rabbit hole trying to make my own music speak the same way. Today, I'm extremely passionate about helping other artists and bands make records they're proud of by applying the skills I've learned along the way.Every artist's music is a deeply personal and creative effort, so I bring a flexible mindset to every session. I really enjoy the process of getting to know artists during the recording process to find the methods and sounds that give every record its own unique vibe.

As an engineer and producer, my job is to play whatever combination of of roles you need to help capture your ultimate artistic vision.
Rates:
Every project has unique needs, so the cost can vary depending on complexity and scope. Please contact me to review your project's goals and together we'll align on how to bring it to life to your satisfaction and within budget.Recording and production time is booked at an hourly rate, with discounts for multi-hour blocks.
Mixing projects will typically be booked for a flat rate, with three rounds of revisions included to ensure the mix meets or exceeds your expectations.Additional services:
At the artist's discretion, I can provide additional production services such as writing and recording additional parts, crafting arrangements, editing, and vocal alignment/pitch correction. These services can often be performed while the artist is on site for a scheduled recording session. If the artist desires additional production services outside of a scheduled session, they can be added to a project on an hourly basis.
